Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article 38 Degrees, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. We need 3rd party reliable sources for changes like this. Your edits constituted original research and have been duly reverted. ISTB351 (talk) 03:20, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Westminster City Council

edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Westminster City Council, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 13:18, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't have thought that a an additional citation would be needed when linking to an existing, heavily sources, wiki article which is specifically about a notable period in the council's history. If you have an interest in reliable sourcing then you could have tried citing the relevant sources yourself (it's simply copying and pasting from the specific article) instead of reverting the edit. However, I have now updated the Westminster City Council History section again and included the relevant citations. Antonine (talk) 14:41, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
OK. I am sorry you misunderstood: you need to read WP:BURDEN: "the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". Please make yourself familiar with it. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 14:58, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for highlighting WP:BURDEN, which I will bear in mind going forwards. May I, however, please draw your attention to the part where it says "In some cases, editors may object if you remove material without giving them time to provide references. Consider adding a citation needed tag as an interim step." and "If you think the material is verifiable, you are encouraged to provide an inline citation yourself before considering whether to remove or tag it." Please make yourself familiar with these sections of it. Thank you. Antonine (talk) 15:10, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 2023 Guildford Borough Council election

edit

The article 2023 Guildford Borough Council election has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:TOOSOON and is currently not notable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ItcouldbepossibleTalk 13:50, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've added notes to the relevant article talk page containing my arguments against deletion. I'd very much welcome your views on whether the improvements I've made to the article are sufficient or not please. Antonine (talk) 11:45, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
