DYK for Drosophila subobscura
editOn 22 October 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Drosophila subobscura, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the gut bacteria of Drosophila subobscura can influence its mating behavior? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Drosophila subobscura. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Drosophila subobscura), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Advice for your Featured Article Candidate
editHi, I saw that you nominated Drosophila subobscura to be a Featured Article. The process can be pretty intense, especially for a newish editor and your first ever FAC. It's recommended that you ask another editor to be your mentor for your first FAC to increase your odds of success. Several volunteer mentors are particularly focused in biology and might be willing to help. Enwebb (talk) 16:03, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for that suggestion! I will go ahead and request one! andrewoh29 (talk) 11:44, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
