Henry Van Lennep moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Henry Van Lennep, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. @Mccapra:Thank you for leaving this message here. I think this decision is harsh and unfair and possibly motivated by the fact that I am a new user. Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers states that new users should be treated with exceptional kindness and patience. Please note that the article is about someone who died in the 19th century and has four reliable sources including a college's collection of his works. There are hundreds of biographies of living people and other articles with no notability on English Wikipedia that have been around and never targeted like this. I just literally clicked on random article and found this list (they are all alive people and need stronger Wikipedia:Verifiability when it comes to their references):Emily Agard, Hamid Hassani. How is the subject of this article less notable than these? Based on all this, I request that you kindly remove that tag. Alanli1996 (talk) 23:05, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi I’ve moved the article back to mainspace as you’ve requested. Newly created articles are held in a queue for review by new page patrollers before they are released for search engine indexing. In my view the article as it stands lacks independent third party sources but it is now back in the queue so another patrolle4 will get to it eventually and can form their own view of the current sourcing. The notability threshold for articles about people is described at WP:BIO. All the best Mccapra (talk) 02:56, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Samuel Audley Rhea moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Samuel Audley Rhea. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 03:29, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
