Arthur Gea

edit

Hi, I just wanted to explain why I added the accent to Gea (or Géa)'s last name on the French Open qualifying draw. My primary source is the French Tennis Federation itself: https://www.fft.fr/actualites/arthur-gea-levolution-sest-faite-naturellement. I understand your argument that most sources (which tend to cater to the Anglophone sphere) don't contain the accent, but the pronunciation in French would make no sense without the accent: the sequence of vowels "ea" is not normal in French. Feel free to overrule me (I expect you to, and I'll let it go at that point, because I don't like editing wars). I just wanted to make the case. Yimingbao (talk) 12:20, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
