Juchitepec

edit

Ok, I got you on my list and I did some editing on your article.Thelmadatter (talk) 14:52, 22 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I looked at your second paragraph. I took out the sentence about the "historical characters" because it is vague. You dont tell me who the characters are and how Juchitepec relates to Mexico's history through them. "villa" is "town" in English. What does "In the latest 1917 Juchitepec returned to tranquility." mean? Please look at some of the other changes I made.Thelmadatter (talk) 17:39, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hello again! :) Firstly, well done for adding information to Wikipedia! You can see the changes that your teacher and I have made here. I have put a 'comment' around "the latest", so that it now looks like this when you edit: In<!--the latest--> 1917 Juchitepec returned to tranquility.. In this way, I have saved the text you added, but people reading the article cannot see it. It would be good if you could fix that sentence, then you can remove the comment.
Another thing you might find interesting is to see how many people have read your work. You can see the number of views the article received here. It's not bad, is it? Thanks again, and have fun! sonia 08:33, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. I am going to be away for a few days, so I will be next available on Thursday to talk to you. What you have added to the Juchitepec article is good, interesting information, but there is one thing it needs. On Wikipedia we like to record the sources of the information in our articles. Do you know where the information you added came from? If you do, at the end of that paragraph add <ref> name of source </ref>. That would be a great help. Also, when there is a word that some people may not understand, you can put [[ ]] around it, so that it links to another page. I have done this for you here.

I took care of the citation of the third paragraph since I know you got the information from the Enciclopedia source.Thelmadatter (talk) 17:35, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

As to your next topic. Is there a popular band or television show that you like that does not have an article? What about a famous person from your country? Do all of your prime ministers have articles? Maybe a sportsperson? If there is something interesting you like, you can write about it. For example, I wrote this article about the man who wrote my country (New Zealand)'s national anthem. What do you like to do in your free time? What are you interested in? That is the best thing to write articles about.

I have to go pack my bags now, and I will check in with you again on Thursday. If you want to talk to someone before then, Clementina is a good person to ask about writing articles. Take care! sonia 08:59, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi, ALauBeltran, I'm one of Sonia's "talk page stalkers" so I saw your post. Do you need to create a new article, or could you expand an existing article? If you like movies, then Category:Mexican film stubs lists Mexican movies that are very short. I also noticed at Happiness (1956 film) that there are several actors who don't yet have articles, and I'm assume that other Mexican movie "stubs" could help you find other actors without articles. Mexican movies seem to have become very popular outside Mexico recently, so I would think that a lot of people have written about them: I've been working on Zeka Laplaine which is about an African movie director, and I've been surprised how much people have written about African movies. Just an idea, and you don't need to feel that you have to do this if you're not that interested in movies! TFOWR 11:10, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
