Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the ones you made to Kira Buckland. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a minimum number of days and made a minimum number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (96.244.220.178) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Hi 96.244..., since I can't use the thanks button for an IP editor, I'll thank you here for the Panem fix. And for the pointer about {{welcome}}; I guess I thought it added a sig automatically. Cheers. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:30, 13 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Reply on Wikipedia Sandbox

edit

Hello, if you read the comments put at the top of the sandbox it says “Please leave this line alone”, but you edited that line, that’s why I reverted it to maintain the structure of the sandbox, Cheers! Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 07:43, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I prefer replying here because I can’t ping you, I think I might have used a wrong template for the situation, and yes it was automated , but I think the user got what I meant. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 09:34, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. April 2021

Hello, I'm CommanderWaterford. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Last-call return—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. CommanderWaterford (talk) 08:03, 1 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You left a comment on my page, but it's unsigned. Please don't do that - it can result in confusion about who said what, when.

As for the hatnote on Macchu Pichu:. Hatnotes are very disruptive to readers, especially on mobile devices - so they must be reserved for cases where readers are likely to arrive at the wrong article and be unable to find the correct one. This example was too minor to be worth a hatnote. You're right that it probably doesn't require a "see also" but I thought that was an acceptable compromise to respond to an editor's concerns. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
