Normandy

edit

Judging by the comments on your talk page, your edits on the Normandy articles are being much better received. Thanks for taking the time to look them over. I follow them up but that isn't because I think they're wrong, far from it but they do highlight failings in the prose. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 13:23, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the comments and encouragement; multi-user IP, so the quality of edits will vary over topics.
NB it might help if you set up a page like User:Keith-264/common.js and install importScript('User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js'); harv errors show up in red. There's also one which adds a highlighter for duplicate links which I find very handy. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 13:27, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Gold Beach into Utah Beach. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:40, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I'll step aside while you're copy-editing and then have another look. I broadly agree with your edits, tho' sometimes not the punctuation. ;o) Regards Keith-264 (talk) 15:47, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough. I appreciate the co-operation and teamwork. I will not be able to get more done today, and will edit sporadically over the coming days.66.77.160.179 (talk) 17:48, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
It might help if you set up a page like User:Keith-264/common.js and install importScript('User:Evad37/duplinks-alt.js'); it makes duplicate wikilinks show up in red. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 22:02, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
