Hello, Please stop adding incorrect information. There is no sharia law in Singapore. You may be thinking of Malaysia. Alarics (talk) 23:51, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Capital punishment in Singapore

edit

Hello, sir/mdm. I am concerned that for several occasions, you have been repeatedly adding in incorrect info, because Singapore had been all along using hanging as the only method to execute prisoners, as per the section 316 of the criminal procedure code. Sharia law is not generally applicable as part of both criminal law and death penalty in Singapore and it is different from the Saudi Arabia, since Singapore is multiracial and secular state where people had freedom to practice different religions, not an Islamic state. I kindly remind this should be the last time, because whatever info you added in the article is misleading.

If you are not convinced, please read this website and verify. Even the legal professionals in Singapore had stated that sharia law is only applicable for Muslim marriage or estate matters, and definitely they had no bearing in criminal law or the imposition of capital punishment under Singapore NelsonLee20042020 (talk) 07:25, 7 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
