Welcome!

Hello, 123flamenco, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like The Bangellame, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Sgroupace (talk) 03:27, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of The Bangellame

edit

The article The Bangellame has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

recently published book with no evidence of notabilty

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sgroupace (talk) 03:27, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:21, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion and its effects

edit

I am writing this note here rather than responding in the AFD discussion as your question is not really related to whether an article is kept or deleted. As far as I know, when a page is deleted from wikipedia, Google will eventually remove it from its search results. As for specifics, you may want to ask your question at Wikipedia:Help desk. -- Whpq (talk) 14:56, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure how to respond, or whether you will be notified. However, thank you. --123flamenco (talk) 15:01, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've got your page watchlisted, so I can see when it has been updated. -- Whpq (talk) 15:03, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again for getting back to me so quickly. I feel I have dug a bit of a hole for myself here. I have posed my question on this page http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:New_contributors'_help_page If another article appears about The Bangellame, it won't be written by me. I am too closely connected to the author to avoid emotional bias. --123flamenco (talk) 04:00, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
