Good news, everyone! I finally wrote a userpage. If you're like half the Disney generation, you probably think my name comes from Zazu, some crazy little bird in The Lion King. It doesn't. Since you're on Wikipedia and all anyway, take a look at Zazou.

Wikipedia and I

edit

I would class myself as a member of the m:Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Making Broad Judgements About the Worthiness of a General Category of Article, and Who Are In Favor of the Deletion of Some Particularly Bad Articles, but That Doesn't Mean They are Deletionist. Put more simply, and certainly more briefly, I don't think you should judge articles in general, so I wouldn't call myself either mergist, inclusionist or deletionist, but would prefer to judge on the merits of each situation.

I've been using Wikipedia as a resource for both my education and interest for several years now, but have never contributed beyond the odd typo correction (be it registered or anonymous). Hopefully that will now change; I hope to become more involved in the Wikipedia project as I see that perhaps I can contribute more now than in the past.

Interests

Maths this pretty just can't be a bad thing!

My interests are primarily academic (yes, I am that sad), more specifically, maths and science (as long as it's computer science or physics), so I'm usually lurking around those articles, even if I don't know enough to contribute (some day, some day...).

Though, currently, I'm trying to (slowly) read my way through Greek Mythology. I figured I need something I can quote at people in intelligent conversation — and it sure as hell ain't gonna be Shakespeare for me. ;-)

There's a reason for putting the top bit last. By now, you probably don't care anymore, and have gone off to read something else, but if you still give a damn, you find out a little about me! I'm 18, live in England, and am a student (Americans would call it high school) studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Electronics and Religious Philosophy at AS level and A level.
