WikiCup 2016: Game On!
editWe are about to enter the second week of the 2016 WikiCup. The most recent player to sign up brings the current total to 101 contestants. Signups close on 5 February. If you’re interested, you can join this year's WikiCup here.
We are aware that in some areas the scoring bot’s numbers are a little bit off (i.e., overly generous) and are working to have that corrected as soon as possible.--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:04, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Ed and Sturmvogel 66, I'll get to this one tonight. Hope you enjoyed the holidays. (Ed, it looks like you're still enjoying them!) - Dank (push to talk) 22:52, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- Technically I'm on a work-enforced sojourn to San Francisco. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 00:16, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- Did Agincourt have more guns and turrets than any other battleship, not just any other dreadnought? This seems likely, and I'd prefer not to repeat "dreadnought" in the first sentence. - Dank (push to talk) 02:14, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Dank: I mean, it really depends on how your define gun and turret. Pre-dreadnoughts had a ton of secondary guns, for instance. I might stick with dreadnought. :-/ Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 23:50, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- ... now that I look at the TFA, though, I think you've done it well. Never mind me <whistles> Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 23:51, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- Your changes make it work, I think. - Dank (push to talk) 02:37, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Sorry
editED, I want to tell you something. The only thing I regret that I did on Wikipedia was getting rude to you. Sorry, you must belive me because I really mean it. You are a good guy, and we tried to make that Signpost FP a funny, colorful and nice thing. Both you and me. I am sorry that I ever been behaving like a jerk towards you... it is probably the right expression. I was worried and I noticed already then, that my computer was hacked, I was angry and I thought somebody wanted me out on that Skype to make me an even easier target. It was not you. I am sorry, it's an explanation, not an excuse. I hope you can forgive me. Bye. Hafspajen (talk) 17:44, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- No worries, Haf. I believe you. We've all had our differences on this site, but in the end we all have the same goal. Always remember that. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 20:34, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

TFA
editEd, this is more or less my standard offer to people who enjoy fiddling around with TFAs: would you like to write some of the TFAs? If so, which wikiprojects (other than Milhist) are you particularly interested in? - Dank (push to talk) 13:59, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Dank: I might be able to occasionally pitch in with Milhist ones. Sadly, I don't have a lot of time for Wikipedia these days between work and grad school. :-/ Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 08:16, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
- Amazing, you must be great at managing your time. When do you graduate? - Dank (push to talk) 13:37, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
- Well, that's the thing. I'm not that great. ;-) I'm taking one class/semester, so most likely in another two years (one year classes, one year thesis hours). Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 07:46, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- College can be fun, there's a lot to be said for stretching it out. Some of us give up "student" status too quick and then bore people reminiscing about our college days :) - Dank (push to talk) 13:38, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Then again, some of us keep our student status into our thirties... <eyes darting around shiftily> — Chris Woodrich (talk) 14:07, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Lucky dog. - Dank (push to talk) 14:45, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Woof? Of course, it takes a lot of energy. But if Ed wants to end up teaching at a university, that'll be the way to go. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 23:37, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm sure I'll be no different.. Not much colleging (yes, that's an adjective now) going on right now though, too many other things going on. :-p Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:16, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
