This list has moved to User:The Anome/Disused UK railway stations still lacking coordinates
This was a list of Wikipedia pages that link to http://www.npemap.org.uk maps, but do not currently have geodata, and the URLs that link to those maps.
Note that articles for which coordinates have been added to this list, and which have then had coordinates copied to the articles by my bot, have also been removed from this list.
On cursory inspection, the first two numbers in each URL appear to be the full OSGB36 easting and northing in meters from the false origin of the OSGB grid, divided by 1000, rounded up or down to the nearest digit. I'm currently unclear whether there's any pattern to the roundoff direction relative to the true station location.
Comment from Tagishsimon:
- There seem to be a couple of things going on. The coords are always rounded down. Moreover the first coord is invariably 1 digit less than it should be. So our URL will be #215,858,1 and the coord will in fact be 216328, 858504 [1]. Clearly it'll be more accurate to do it by hand. But we'll get close automagically. --Tagishsimon (talk) 21:23, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Note: see also User:The Anome/Disused UK railway stations still lacking coordinates as of Nov 2008 for a more comprehensive list of disused stations lacking geodata.
