The Jack Northrop Award recognizes the most outstanding technical paper presented at the annual Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) Symposium in San Diego, California.[1] The award was established in 1976 and is given in memory of Jack Northrop, founder of the Northrop Corporation.[1] The award is sponsored by Northrop Grumman.[1]

The award is determined by a panel of judges at the completion of the annual SETP Symposium in San Diego, California.[1] The award, consisting of a trophy and cash honorarium, is presented at the San Diego banquet.[1]
