Taylor Swift (born 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. She started as a country pop singer after signing with Big Machine Records in 2005 and debuted with her self-titled album the following year. In 2018, she signed with Republic Records; her first studio album under the label was Lover (2019). She has re-recorded four albums subtitled (Taylor's Version) due to a dispute with Big Machine. Outside of music, she directed the short films Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions (2020) and All Too Well: The Short Film (2021). Her life and career were also depicted in the autobiographical film Miss Americana (2020). Swift is one of the best-selling artists worldwide and is the most-streamed artist on Spotify, as well as the first billionaire with music as the main source of income and the highest-grossing female touring act.
