The name Satyadasa is derived from (Sanskrit सत्यदास) for “servant of satya (truth).” The name, which I first used as a screenname in 1999 or so, was a high school attempt to lay claim to a multireligious identity of sorts, as I intended it both as a translation of its Arabic equivalent, عبد الحق cabd al-ḥaqq, and as a reference to satyagraha.
