Paul Thompson English drummer since 1974, born in Nottingham 2nd October 1957 began his career in a school band Axelrod, then progressed to a working rock n roll band Revival, next in 1976 he traveled to Germany in rock band Zipper,doing a residency at the famous PN club in Munich. After Zipper split he joined a Soul/funk band Eye to Eye where they toured Europe backing American artists, Syl Johnson, Percy Sledge, the Shirelles an the Crystals. In 1979 he joined Zipper guitarist Kev Richardson and Sax Player Rod Doherty to form White Plains, they toured the UK for several years. Later in 1983 He Joined a band to back the Les Dawson summer tour with the Roly Pollys and singer Jade. He joined the 'Fast Eddie' rock n roll band in the mid 80's, which developed into a pop band for a few years with female vocalist and keyboard players, until they broke up in the early 90's.

'Lazy Dog' was Paul's next project, a country music band with which he has played since 1996, they also back famous American country singers and are resident band for the famous Americana annual festival.

He was a member of the 'Alter Eagles' tribute band playing in theatres along the south coast.

In 2010 Paul stood in with the 'Black Cadillac's' Rock n Roll band, then joined full time until they folded in 2013.

Paul also enjoys playing in the house band 'Steeler' at the Diamond at Sutton with the owner, vocalist Gary playing classic rock.

Other music projects including 'ZU2' U2 Tribute band and 'Planet 80's' a party band with songs from the 1980's.

Doing occasional gigs with rock n roll bands 'Rocket 88' and a trio Boppin the Blues, also from Radcliffe pop band Estele and the Redfish.
