"Tilaluha" is the debut single by Filipino boy band SB19. It is a soulful ballad about unrequited love written by Geong Song Han, Kim Kyeong Su, and Sejun (now Pablo). The single was independently released on October 26, 2018, by ShowBT Philippines, the boy band's talent agency at the time. "Tilaluha" was met with muted reception and was considered commercially unsuccessful, which allegedly led the boy band to consider disbandment. Nevertheless, they later received mainstream success with the release of their follow-up single, "Go Up" (2019).

Despite the song's underwhelming performance, a music critic from Nylon Manila considered "Tilaluha" as one of the "best ballads" that the boy band ever released, with praise on their vocals, describing it as an "underrated bop". However, the band received criticism for releasing it as their debut material. The boy band performed "Tilaluha" on multiple occasions, including several concert set lists, events, and other music platforms. Initially a standalone single, it was later included on their debut studio album, Get in the Zone (2020).

"Tilaluha" was released on October 26, 2018, through an independent release by ShowBT Philippines. The boy band's debut album, Get in the Zone, was released on July 31, 2020, by Sony Music Philippines, where the song was included on its tracklist.

Composition and lyrics

edit

"Tilaluha" is three minutes and 57 seconds in length. The song was composed by Geong Seong Han and Kim Kyeong Su, with lyrics written by Sejun (now Pablo). Han Tae Soo handled the mixing and mastering, who also worked with the song's production with Geong Seong Han and arrangement with Lee Woong.

Musically, "Tilaluha" is a soulful ballad with lyrics about unrequited love. Sejun had inspired its lyrics from what he had seen in movie and book plots. It takes onto a point of view where the person they love is in love with someone else, expecting they cannot be loved back.
