Prani Mithran (Trust for Animal Welfare and Protection) This is an organisation for animal welfare and protection, founded in the year 2003 by two South Indian activist couple Dr.V.Vallaiappan, a veterinarian & animal welfare activist and Dr.S. Mithra, a social welfare activist. Till, today this organisation is active and it is a registered body. This organisation is recognised by Animal Welfare Board of India and supporting other blooming animal welfare activists and organisations by supporting as a parent organisation. Their activities are: rescue, shelter, veterinary service (like Animal Birth Control), free camps, animal welfare advocacy and maintaining court custody animals. They prioritise homeless on their foremost decisions. They are wide spread throughout Tamil Nadu, India. They are mostly self-funded by running programs along with district administrations of Tamil Nadu Government.
