Re: edits at Wowowin and Wil Time Bigtime articles

edit

Please stop adding the theme songs of these shows in their respective articles. They are considered non-free music and adding them violates WP:NFC. Under WP:NFC, a non-free music clip can only be accepted with the following criteria:

  1. Music clips may be used to identify a musical style, group, or iconic piece of music when accompanied by appropriate sourced commentary and attributed to the copyright holder. Samples should generally not be longer than 30 seconds or 10% of the length of the original song, whichever is shorter (see Wikipedia:Music samples).
  2. Spoken word clips of historical events, such as speeches by public figures, may be used when accompanied by appropriate sourced commentary and attributed to the speaker/author.
In your case, you have uploaded the whole song and you have not properly justified why it was added there, besides being the "theme song" of the show. -WayKurat (talk) 06:45, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of television stations in Southeast Asia, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages ETC and 2nd Avenue (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: TV5 Logos

edit

Please read WP:TOP100. It says there that "The use of non-free media (whether images, audio or video clips) in galleries, discographies, and navigational and user-interface elements generally fails the test for significance (criterion #8).". In short, adding that gallery of logos in the TV5 article violates WP:Fair use. -WayKurat (talk) 04:44, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

And as I have checked, you falsely tagged all of the TV5 logos as "public domain". Those logos should be tagged with a fair use template since all of them are copyrighted. I have caught you several times already adding a lot of copyrighted content here in Wikipedia. If you continue to do uploading copyrighted material without adhering to the policies of Fair Use, this may cause you to be blocked in editing here. -WayKurat (talk) 04:50, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Re: TV5 edits

edit

Please read WP:Manual of style. You don't have to boldface every word you think that is significant in the article. It will make the article look more messed up than the previous version before you inserted all of your additions. -WayKurat (talk) 02:12, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:CCC Site.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:CCC Site.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 02:00, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Possibly unfree File:CCC Passers 2014.JPG

edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:CCC Passers 2014.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:33, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:CCC Today.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:CCC Today.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:34, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
