Teiseks on eestikeelne nimekuju KNABi järgi oletatav ja väga kaheldav. Nimi Саареотс või Сааре-Отс esineb Nõukogude topokaartidel, aga nende järgi on raske öelda, millise neeme kohta seda nime täpselt on kasutatud. 1985. aasta 1:25 000 kaardil on ta üsna ühemõtteliselt Virtsu tuletorni juures, 1958. aasta kaardil aga pigem põhjapool, vist Rohenina saarel. 1985. aasta 1:100 000 kaardil, mille järgi vist on püütud KNABis koordinaadid määrata, on ta pigem kuskil tuletornist lõuna pool. Kui eestikeelne nimi on kaheldav ja venekeelne nimi küll on, aga neeme enda kohta teadaolevate allikate põhjal midagi kindlalt öelda pole, siis on minu meelest parem artikkel esialgu tegemata jätta.
According to KNAB (the estonian database for geograpic names) the very name of that place is dubious. The name Саареотс or Сааре-Отс exists on soviet topographic maps, but they do not define the exact location of that cape. On the 1:25 000 from 1985 it lies just where the Virtsu lighthouse is. On the map from 1958 it lies more in the north, on the island of Rohenina. The location of coordinates are from the 1:100 000 map from 1985 and they are south from the lighthouse. If there exists only a russian name, the estonian name is dubious and it's location variens according the sources we can use, it is in my opinion better not to have this article.
Mu meelest on küll üldjuhul märkimisväärne, kui Eestiga seonduvast on enwikis. Ka on ju kindel, et venekeelset nime on kaartidel mingi sealse geograafilisi subjekti kohta kasutatud. Samas Nõukogude Liidu kaartide adekvaatsus ja täpsus on juba iseasi ja neid ka sihilikult tehti vist valesti
I think it makes the Estonian place noteworthy if it exists in enwiki. Also, it is clear the maps use it's russian name to mark some specific geographyc location. At the same time we can always question the adequacy and accuracy of the soviet maps and they were sometimes misleading on purpose.
Me võime selle siin likvideerida ka ilma inglise vikita, aga muidugi oleks ilus see seal koos selgitustega kustutamiseks esitada.
