Most of all, I'm curious--and a pretty good writer.
I'm now a professional researcher and editor and before that I had a long career as an educational administrator (budget manager) and a professional musician.
I'm fascinated by diverse topics, from the historical Jesus to Hebrides knitting. I have many interests: music, theater, writing, botany, astrology, cooking, history, politics, philosophy, science, language, religion.
In addition to a good deal of editing, I've authored a number of Wiki articles. Some of those which are most important to me include:
- Pico della Mirandola
- Dorotheus of Sidon
- Katarche
- Marsilio Ficino (in part)
- Vettius Valens
- Paulus Alexandrinus
- Rhetorius
- Hephaistio of Thebes
- Olympiodorus the Younger
- De vita libri tres
- Elia del Medigo
- Essential dignity
- Astrological fall
- Terms or bounds
- Mutual reception
- Triplicity
and many more that I collaborated on. I have also made hundreds of editing corrections--especially to articles on plants, animals and science.
I have done Wiki translations from French and German Wiki articles. Some of my more difficult efforts were:
- Le Pere Duchesne
- Le Père Duchesne (19th c.)
- Daniel Schneidermann
- [[1]] (French Wiki article on Egyptian hieroglyphics)
- Corinne Lepage
- Charles Bettelheim
- Rodolphe Seeldrayers
My greatest problem is enthusiastic gushing and I welcome curbs on my adjectival barrages.
Papyrus has never been exticnt,i thought you should know Luke12345abcd (talk) 10:51, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Not sure where I said that Luke, but thanks very much for the correction. I don't think I believed it was extinct, just becoming very rare. But I no longer recall. Thanks. NaySay (talk) 18:32, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
