I made this account many years ago. For a time I edited a lot and made some new articles and contributed to many. I got sick of the fighting and complaining and felt like wikipedia was a waste of time and that not much got done. I then abandoned this profile and edited from anons after some time had passed. Now that so much time has passed I thought I might try to start over and avoid all the drama and politics, if possible. I still mostly edit from anons, but maybe I can do some editing from this account as well from time to time. Feel free to message me on my discussion page.
I edit lots of pages with subject matter that I like, don't like and feel neutral about. I'm really just here to add any knowledge and help I can to make wikipedia more encyclopedic and less crappy.
I could go on and talk about myself, but I really don't care to. It's not important and I don't know why anyone else would think it is, either. I no longer feel the need to use wikipedia as a social networking site, as so many users do.
Update
editI've officially retired and I think I can say that now. I still sometimes do small edits from anons. I might even do small edits on this account from time to time, although it's not likely especially considering I stopped editing from it for two years. I'd like to think I did a lot here when I was active. In a few years I made over four thousand edits and did some major work on some pages and created other ones. I enjoyed some of that time working with a number of people (and fighting others). I think wikipedia has definitely improved over the years, although it still has many problems. The commitment to sourcing is good, but the problem with the internet is that not all sources are equal or valid. With the spread of (mis)information, many users can often find a source to support any position, even if it is one that is plainly wrong. Wikipedia still serves as a pretty good tool, though. I really don't know why I'm typing this. Most likely no one will even see this and even if they do none of this matters. Fuck.
Hey I enjoyed working with you like 8 years ago. You probably don't remember me but you and Circafucix really helped me out a lot on the thrash metal list. Hope you are doing good. Weltanschaunng 02:27, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
I have been reminiscing about a few things as of late (with my days on Wikipedia being one of them) and decided to stumble on in a bit late here. :P Just wanted to show my great appreciation for having edited together in the past. It was definitely a great experience for me on the Wiki and it is something I am proud with. Also, I understand where you're coming from, maybe wanting to start over and avoid drama/stalking/politics yadda yadda. Since I won't be editing the Wiki seriously ever again (and I mean it this time), the interesting story as for when I "retired", I actually came back with an incognito username a bit later on and used my new knowledge to edit more professionally. I feel like I may have ran into you (or even Welt here) at a time; and sadly, couldn't say anything to you (or anyone I knew for that matter) because I wanted to leave my edits as CircafuciX behind apparently and start anew.. nearly became admin worthy, helped make some lists featured quality, some articles into good articles, and did major category/project overhaul work but alas I retired again. :/ All in all, I hope you are doing mighty well!
P. S. Also, funny story, what I found HILARIOUS during my time as 'that user' though was that Wiki-Libs thought I was you! Bahahaha!! XD

Hey CircafuciX! Good to hear that you are doing good. I have moved to the States since, to pursue my PhD in Electrical Engg. Been at it for about five years now, looking to graduate soon. Hope everything is good at your end! Really nice to hear from you after a long time. I quit editing, job and then PhD keeping me quite busy. But I am glad we ran into each other on Navnlos' page! Hope he doesn't take offense :P Weltanschaunng 06:13, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
