The Eurynogaster complex is a monophyletic clade or group[1] of flies in the family Dolichopodidae, endemic to Hawaii.[2]
Eight genera are included in this group:
- Adachia Evenhuis, 2005[2]
- Arciellia Evenhuis, 2005[2]
- Elmoia Evenhuis, 2005[2]
- Eurynogaster Van Duzee, 1933[3]
- Major Evenhuis, 2005[2]
- Sigmatineurum Parent, 1938[4]
- Sweziella Van Duzee, 1933
- Uropachys Parent, 1935
The genera Sweziella and Uropachys were previously considered synonyms of Eurynogaster until Evenhuis (2005), when they were restored as separate genera. Evenhuis also found Sigmatineurum to be related to Eurynogaster, and created Adachia, Arciellia, Elmoia and Major to accommodate species previously placed in Eurynogaster.[2]
