Hello, my name is Adam Seth Moss (or Amanda Sadie Moss), also known as User:Mitchazenia. I am an eighteen-year editor of English Wikipedia (joined at 22:40 UTC, November 2, 2005) and have been administrator since January 2, 2008 (16 years and counting!). I am administrator here on English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. I am a historian by college education, getting my Masters in History from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois in May 2017. I also have my Bachelors in History cum laude (with minors in Political Science and Public Administration) from Montclair State University in Montclair/Little Falls, New Jersey that I received May 2015. I also have 2 Associates degrees, one in Liberal Arts-History, the other in Liberal Arts-Education, from Middlesex College in Edison, New Jersey from May 2013. (I graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, New Jersey in June 2009.)

I am writing my first book, Martini's Mission: One Man's Goal to Remove the Erie Tracks in Passaic, New Jersey, about the Erie Railroad tracks in Passaic, New Jersey and their tearup in 1963. From a professional perspective, my focus are on labour rights and civil rights. I also am big on labour unions. On Wikipedia, roads, railroad stations and tropical cyclones get the majority of my editing, but you will see me doing edits on automobile racing, baseball and other hobbies of mine. I also have my own Wikimedia Commons category, which you can find on my Userpage. (I didn't make it, someone else did!) I also am notorious for having abused the watchlist feature on English Wikipedia, with over 72,000 pages on the list (to the point that I can't load the actual list without causing a server crash!) I also still use Monobook for my skin with Fritz Quadrata as the font (if you know Law & Order, it's that font!).

I am a huge person on Wikimedia outreach. I was at the first meeting discussing the forming of Wikimedia New York City in 2007 at Brooklyn Public Library. I have been to numerous conferences around the United States and Wikimania in 2012. I have done numerous outreach programs over the years for Wikimedia New York City and from 2014–2015 I was a member of the board. (Moving sucked for my ability to stay on the board, but my heart is there!) I also did Wikipedia in the Classroom stuff for Montclair State professors in the Philosophy and English departments.

In person, I am as autistic as it gets. I have all the obsessions, the anti-social personality, the humbleness. Lots of signs that give it away. I am proud of being autistic and I help parents who are dealing with taking care of autistic children. It's not easy, but I try. On August 29, 2022, I came out as non-binary (enby). I have been on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) since June 26, 2023. I live by two different names (my name assigned at birth, Adam Seth Moss; my chosen female alternative, Amanda Sadie Moss). My sports preferences in order are automobile racing (NASCAR, IndyCar and Formula One, though I will dabble in local racing in the United States), baseball (New York Yankees and New York Mets), gridiron football (New England Patriots) and hockey (Edmonton Oilers).

Frequently asked questions

edit
  1. The hell is a Mitchazenia and why is your signature Mitch32?: My username at the start was HurricaneCraze32 until I changed it to Mitchazenia. The Mitch part is based off the former pen name of mine, Mitch Lonier. The azenia part is literally patent nonsense. I have retained the 32 in my signature as an homage to my former username.
  2. Why do you have so many shit photos on Commons?: Well, people seem to like uploading entire Flickr sets of mine to Commons for some reason. I don't do that with my own photos. I choose which I move to Commons. I would never upload my shittiest photos, even if it meant an article is unphotographed.
  3. What are your pronouns?: I accept any pronoun, that may or may not change in the future, we'll see.
