Mahesh Jeena (born 14th September 1966) is a member of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly from the Salt Constituency in Almora District. He is a Minister of State in the Bharatiya Janata Party under the Second Modi Ministry from 2021.

His brother, Late Shri Surendra Singh Jeena, Ex-MLA from Salt in Almora district, was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a hospital in New Delhi, expired on early on 12th November 2020. He had been elected to the Legislative Assembly for the third time in a row.

Early Life

Jeena was born on 14th September 1966 in the village of Sadi Gaon in the Bhikiyasen Tehsil, in Almora district of Uttarakhand. He was the elder child in the family. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from SGTB Khalsa College in Delhi.

From the beginning he has been an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttarakhand, working simultaneously with his brother. After the demise of his brother, Mahesh Jeena stood for the MLA position from Salt constituency and won the election.
