2015 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group IV
In the 2015 Davis Cup, 9 teams competed in Group IV of the Asia/Oceania Zone, one of the three regional competition zones of the Davis Cup that are below the World Group. The Asia/Oceania zone has four groups, Groups I through IV, of which Group I is highest and Group IV is lowest, with promotion and relegation between the groups (and promotion and relegation between Group I and the World Group Play-off Stage).
Two teams were promoted from Group IV to Group III in 2016.[1]
Teams
editThe nine teams were split into two pools - one of five teams and one of four. Two teams were seeded to avoid each other in the group stage, Pacific Oceania, and UAE.
Format
editEach group would be played in round robin format, with the winner of each group playing the runner-up of the other in a playoff game for promotion. Third place in each group would also play for fifth place, and fourth place in each group would play for seventh place. Unlike in World Group, Group I and Group II matches, rubbers are played as best-of-three set matches, and ties are played as the best-of-three rubbers, rather than five.
The ties were played between 27 April and 2 May in Isa Town, Bahrain.[1]
