Hello there, I'm Jesse Victors! I'm a white hat and computer scientist with a special interest in network security and privacy-enhancing systems like Tor. You can find more about me on my website, jessevictors.com. I also support and contribute to open-source software. I believe that Wikipedia is succeeding and I continue to support it.
Although I am less active on Wikipedia than I used to be, I continue to make edits here and there. The Folding@home article remains my crowning achievement on this site. It became my editing focus in August 2011 and it was the primary reason why I became very active on Wikipedia. When I started, the article was in this unhelpful state. Following eight months of research and 540 edits, it achieved Good Article status on April 7, 2012. Since then, it passed through a peer review and it's FA nomination succeeded and it finally became a Featured Article!. It's a complex article consisting of multiple facets that had to be intertwined, but I'm very pleased at how it turned out. I would like to thank Emw and Crisco 1492 for their comments, Dmitrij for his professional review of the GA nom, and many others on foldingforum.org and scientists at Stanford University for their support and advice. I'm encouraged by comments like this and this, and I know that the author of this publication was assisted by the Folding@home article, which is awesome. Folding@home appeared on the Main Page on November 1st, 2012. There was even a blog post about it :)
I've also made substantial improvement and cleanup changes to List of distributed computing projects (before). I created List of Folding@home cores. I have Advisor.js, Checklinks, CitationBot, and AWB at my editing disposal, and a number of scripts installed. They are extremely useful for serious editors. I've also taken to using AWB for auto-tagging and auto-untagging articles, thereby assisting editors while seriously reducing backlogs. My page about my editing history is here, and you can see how many semi-automated edits I've made by clicking here.

For amazing work on the Folding@home article. It is a hard job to write an article that would cover both the medical and software aspects of such a topic and adhere to Wikipedia standards, and I'm quite impressed with the result of your efforts. — Dmitrij D.
