I was a columnist and web designer for the San Francisco Herald in San Francisco, California from 1999 until 2003. I am also an artist and created much of the digital artwork for the paper and its website during those years. My articles were mainly about life in San Francisco in the late 1990's, including evictions, scams, jobs, roommates, and politics. I joined the US Army after September 11, 2001 and served a tour in Iraq. I left the Army in 2006 and have written several articles about life in the military and as a contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. I worked and lived on Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan for 5 years. I enjoy watching the Academy of Art University entry and stopping Lwalt from "defending" it from people trying to tell the truth about the diploma mill. She is likely a paid editor hired by the school to keep the entry "clean".
