Oh, you found me. I am a video game streamer, aquatic scientist, artist, and a lot of other things. I have one BA in Art, a BS in Biology, and an MS in Biology, all from the same institution (I had the best professors ever). While I formerly specialized in freshwater macroinvertebrate work and bioassessments, I now work aboard commercial fishing vessels monitoring the catch and collecting important data about fish population health.
I live in Washington State but am a former resident of Tennessee and have a lot of knowledge of the natural history and wildlife found in both areas and am always looking for more. Through editing and creating Wikipedia content, I hope to use my research skills and enthusiasm about the natural world to bring everyone high quality information that they might not otherwise have come across. I am forever in awe of nature and I want to do what I can to inspire appreciation and awareness of our surroundings.
When not at sea I can often be found playing videogames or finding ways to explore the beautiful place in which I live. I bird, fish, botanize, and herp. You can find me on iNaturalist sharing some of my finds.

My Relationship with Brunia
editI am... not a botanist, or a resident of South Africa. So you might be wondering: Why Brunia? Why now??? I have seen this plant only once in my life: at a restaurant. It was used as a centerpiece, and as an american, its form was super alien to me and I had no frame of reference for what it could be.
I did the only thing I could do: put it on iNaturalist and try to get an identification.
And yeah, it turned out to be B. noduliflora, for which there was no wikipedia page at the time. So I made it. And thus I am plagued by Brunia on the daily because I know I have to make the page better, make more pages, and that I have the research skills to do so lmao
WHEREABOUTS INFO: I am currently ON LAND (28 October 2024). Please expect normal response times to queries and actual creative output! Will likely be off until after New Year's.
