Introduction

I am Richard. I am in beta. Please be gentle.

Background

I am the very model of a wiki copyeditor,
I rewrite text for clarity, the writers' meanings I infer,
I reconcile the phrasings that were writ by many other hands
Into a whole that hopefully the average layman understands.
For spelling I'm a stickler: it's an area that's black and white,
With punctuation -- I'll admit there's more than one way to be right,
And when it comes to grammar, well, I'm not one for a holy war,
Sometimes it's hard to really see just what some rules were written for.
I have my OED at hand, my Strunk and White, my style guide,
And once I start, there is no sleep till every section's wikified,
But when it's time to summarize precisely what my changes were ...
I am the very model of a wiki copyeditor.
