My ultimate purpose of study at KDI School is to get international-level professional training on policy analysis to foster effective policy procedures in my homeland. In order to cope with the policy and program issues at the national and international level, I am highly interested in the policy formulation, its development, analysis, and impact by using statistical methods such as randomized control trials including Diff-in-Diff, Regression Discontinuity Design, and Synthetic Control Methods.

I am studying the public policy programs in which specifically I am learning impact evaluation methods for policy and programs, e-governance, econometrics, and statistics. My short-term goal is to become a researcher in the field of public policy and completion of the doctorate program at an international level institute. Furthermore, I want to think of a job in an international or national development organization such as the World Bank, UN, or at the Planning Commission in my country.

Not only short-term goals but education always leads a person towards his long-term goals. Accordingly, I wish to become a policy analyst who has econometrics and statistical skills for policy procedures from its formulation to impact evaluation. Secondly, I desire to win funded research projects in the field of public policy and e-governance. My continuous Master’s in Public Policy at KDI School of Public Policy and Management the Asian No. 1 Think Tank has significant relevancy with the Policy Analysis program. My MPP at KDI will be completed in August-2021. Furthermore, my Master of Public Administration and Master of Management Sciences with a concentration in HR also have relevance with the Policy Analysis Program. I also have taken econometrics, STATA, R, quantitative methods, impact evaluation methods, public policy, and public administration courses. Moreover, I also have international certifications from the University of California and Kings College London related to project management and human resources.

My one-year potential key role in the Impact Evaluation of PLRMIS (Punjab Land Record Management Information System), the project has been funded by the Korean Development Institute and the program was implemented by the World Bank has a strong match with public policy studies. For the evaluation of program impact, we have used Diff-in-Diff, Fixed Effect Multiple Regression, and Instrumental Variable Approach. Secondly, I have worked for six months in data analytics with the DMS COMSATS University Islamabad in which I have played with big data. Furthermore, four years’ work potential role as Accounts & Finance Manager in a military resource government Cadet College has significant relevancy with the public policy including public finance.

My current job description at CCH includes maintenance of endowment fund trust worth two hundred million and the duties in Impact Evaluation Project include identification of statistical methods, preparation of data descriptions, impact evaluation methods, analysis in Stata, writing, and data management.

I want to enhance my policy analysis and procedure skills. The study will have noteworthy importance in my short-term as well as long-term career goals. It can give me a chance to become a policy analyst and in lo

ng run, I can implement my learning from various institutes in the homeland to expedite the policy reforms. I can also learn more detailed statistical methods and can contribute to the Planning Commission of Pakistan.
