Monstrum Caeruelus, also known as The Blue Monster of Nanoose or Bluey is an aquatic reptilian species endemic to, and known only to occupy the area known as Nanoose Bay located on the east coast of Vancouver Island. There are no other known species within the genus Monstrum.

Description

Bluey is a blue coloured lizard that lives exclusively between below 10 metres depth in the bay known as Nanoose.[2]
