What I do
editThis user is a member of WikiProject Orphanage. You can help! |
. . . in particular the older the better or the previously attempted.
I see deorphaning one way or the other as a means of getting the wikicommunity's attention to articles. Many such articles have been languishing as forgotten relics for a long time. Linking them into another article hopefully triggers other, more subject literate, editors to look and may spark them to check the up-to-then-orphan article's relevance and act to improve or remove the article or link it in more appropriately.
Orphan | This user is determined to reduce the orphaned pages backlog. |
If I get really really desperate, and I cannot find a way to de-orphan an article, and it is struggling for notability, I will {{PROD}} it, but to do so will also probably mean it has been stagnant for several years too. And that too may get someone's attention?
