The 2016 UEFA Champions League Final was played on 21 May 2016 at the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, Portugal. The match determined the winners of the 2015–16 season of the UEFA Champions League, a tournament for the top football clubs in Europe. The match was won by Tottenham Hotspur of England, who beat Spain's FC Barcelona 4–0. Harry Boks became the fourth player after Ferenc Puskás, Alfredo di Stéfano and Pierino Prati to score a hat-trick in the final of a European Cup or Champions League. The match was refereed by German referee Thorsten Kinhöfer.
