"If scientists as a whole denounce an idea this should not necessarily be taken as proof that the said idea is absurd: rather, one should examine carefully the alleged grounds for such opinions and judge how well these stand up to detailed scrutiny." -B. D. Josephson

Facts and evidence stand up on their own. Opinion, even overwhelming majority opinion, does not itself make something true.

"Nullius in Verba", which means "On the words of no one," was the motto taken by the Royal Society. This motto signifies the core mindset which differentiates modern scientific thought from the authoritative reasoning which preceded it.

In recognition of your defence of NPOV and fairness. When one man stands tall, the backbones of all others are stiffened. Remember you are not alone in believing Wikipedia should be free of censors and bias. Good luck & many thanks. -- Brittainia 20:56, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
