Academically, I'm a computational chemist specializing in organometallic compounds. Professionally, I'm a software developer. In my copious free time, I write and perform filk, read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, and create things in various media (lately, a lot of plush toys). I have a knack for diagnosing and fixing problems.
I don't tend to spend a lot of time editing W'pedia, since I find the edit wars tedious, and think that there are too many weenies trying do as many edits as they can to improve their "score". Or possibly, as the joke goes, only when used as a compound modifier.
