The best way to find abandoned places is simply to look around even if it was to be apart of your daily walk or by social media including news forums.
If the police do come don’t run away because this will make them feel like you’re guilty of doing something wrong. Never vandalise or break and enter since it is illegal and will only ruin it for other explorers.
Most explorers keep locations hidden so other people don’t trash the place / so it doesn’t become unaccessible for the rest of them.
