My name is Dirk Beetstra, I was born in Waskemeer, The Netherlands in 1971. Lived there until 1994, lived in Belgium (Leuven) for one year, and moved to Groningen (Netherlands), where I lived until 2005. From 2005 until 2009 I lived in Cardiff, Wales, UK, and from 2009 until 2011 I lived in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Since the beginning of 2012 I am living in Saudi Arabia, first in Riyad and then in Thuwal, KAUST.

General Interests:

My general interests are Chemistry (also my current workfield) and I like to walk/bike around in nature.

Work:

I specialise in organic, organometallic and coordination chemistry. I studied chemistry at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen and University of Groningen (organic chemistry with Ben Feringa). After finishing my study I did a PhD in organometallic chemistry under guidance of Bart Hessen and Jan Teuben. From 2005 to 2008 I worked as a postdoc in Cardiff, Wales at Cardiff University (working on the synthesis of new carbene ligands) under guidance of Kingsley Cavell, Nancy Dervisi and Ian Fallis and later under guidance of Mike Coogan, working on transfer hydrogenation. From August 2009 till December 2011 I have been working in the group of Vincenzo Busico at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (Eindhoven University of Technology) on supported olefin polymerisation catalysts ('FLATCATS' project). Since the beginning of 2012 I am working as a Scientist for SABIC in Thuwal, KAUST.

You did the migration of COIBot, and as you must be beer free, please have this very expensive award and the beer will have to be taken on notice. — billinghurst sDrewth 03:40, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

#. What are the Local spam blacklist and the Meta spam blacklist, what are they for, and which are the (core) policies and guidelines that they relate to. How should this functionality be used (also in conjunction with the Local Spam-whitelist and/or XLinkBot)? What would you look at if you were (to handle a request) to blacklist an abused site (I'm using the term 'abused site' with he aim to span more than plain spam)? And what would you look at when you were (to handle a request) to whitelist a specific link on a blacklisted domain or (to handle a request) to de-blacklist the whole domain?
