Hi all :)

My name is Bartek, I'm 31 y.o. and I started trying to contribute to Wikipedia at the end of 2009. I lack much formal education, so I figured that probably the only useful input I can bring in here is some kind of translation work. Although I haven't had much advanced English training, learning the language has been one of my primary interests for a very long time.

I plan to focus on helping translate selected articles from the English-language Wikipedia for the Polish edition. If need be I could also take up simple translations from Polish to English.

The progress of my work is slow. I'm a novice in Wikipedia editing, using the templates, etc. Being an amateur translator with little experience I also take more time to find the most adequate and corresponding phrasings. Another reason for my relative slowness is a physical handicap which hinders quick text entry.

Please consider this if you contact me in writing, which you're welcome to do :)

At present (as of January 2010) I'm translating the article on Sharon Tate (click here for the work-in-progress version of the translation to Polish).

Thank you :)
