Abbeybufo is my username for Wikis and other internet groups. I am currently the Membership Secretary of the UK Elsie J. Oxenham Society & a past editor of the Abbey Chronicle, the journal of that Society.

As well as my interest in EJO, I have an MA in Regional & Local History and Archaeology, with a particular interest in the archaeology of Medieval Buildings.

In addition I am a published writer on the history of Children's Literature, most recently Winning Books ISBN 0-954638-45-X (Pied Piper Publishing, 2005) on the history of Children's Book Awards (Newbery Medal, Caldecott Medal and their equivalents all over the English-Speaking world). A Japanese edition was pulished in 2009, ISBN 4-472-40394-1 Parameter error in {{ISBN}}: checksum (Tamagawa University Press).

2007 was the centenary year of Elsie Oxenham's first book Goblin Island which was reprinted in mid-October by Girls Gone By Publishers, with a full publishing history including all the known illustrations, and with an introduction by me.
