Template:Thermodynamic_cycles changes

You did some changes on [2].
Are you sure that Regenerative cycle, Rankine cycle, Kalina cycle are not phase change cycles?
e.g. Rankine cycle Quote: "...Process 1-2: The high pressure liquid enters a boiler where it is heated at constant pressure by an external heat source to become a saturated vapor...". Liquid and vapor are two different phases, as far as I know.

Various problems with nonstandard formatting

I see that you're trying to get the Navigation template to accommodate groups and subgroups. Template:Carbohydrates might serve as a model for how to accomplish this.

Separately, having external links in the template is extremely unorthodox. I see that they're provided in place of as-yet-unwritten articles, but what would be better -- if you get the chance -- is to use those references to start stub articles for each of the redlinks, and include them in "References" or "External links".--Father Goose 00:47, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I kind of liked it being narrow....so that it could be inserted next to the text...now seems to be used way down on the bottom of articles...with it next to text you could easily look up what you wanted to see while you were reading... Sno2 01:25, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

When it was used in the Hot air engine article in its narrow form and flushed left at top, the article text was squished down to a width of about an inch (2.54 cm) because the article was squished btween the narrow template on the right and the diagram that was flushed left at about that same level. So the article had a narrow, difficult to read template on the right and a narrow text space of about one inch, both of which led to poor readabilty. - mbeychok 02:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

There's no "parent template" to edit anymore, which is why (v d e) is gone. The new formatting is nothing more than a table using the CSS formatting for the "navbox" class, which is defined in MediaWiki:Common.css.--Father Goose 07:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Joule/Brayton cycle with external heating

Why are Staged Combustion, Gas Generator, and the Expander Cycle listed like thermodynamic cycles?

I like rockets too but these are pretty specialized terms that are basically applications of other listed cycles (brayton for the first two, supercritical rankine for the third).
