Cited text
edit@Dumelow: just checking this one with you up front. The first half of the blurb derives from the article, and I've now cited that. The second half is a description of the image itself, with much of the commentary being verified by simply looking at the text on the image. I suppose similar to MOS:PLOTSOURCE, that's kind of OK. Let me know what you think. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 12:17, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Amakuru, thanks for the ping. This image came up before and I raised issue with the part of the blurb derived from the article text (which was unsourced at that time). I've generally been more relaxed on the part that describes the image itself. The POTD guidelines say that it should be stated and cited on the image description page but as long as its on that page, the source page listed there or the image itself I've generally given it a pass - Dumelow (talk) 12:51, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
