I don't like this message. Although some edits may not be very helpful, the best way to scare off a newbie who may be helpful in the future is to call their experiments unhelpful. Let's be welcoming to newcomers! Eurleif 06:29, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)
- Neither do I. Use the test message for obvious tests, and use a hand-written message to edits verging on vandalism. Canned messages are not the way to deal with vandalism. Dysprosia 06:30, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Heck, OK. I have typed this same damn passage so many times with vandals. Then I noticed that others (to my suprise) had adopted it for their boilerplates. I basically ripped it off from near exact wording on Jimbo Wales's page. I have used it repeatedly when I thought a test message was not strong enough. If everyone feels that strongly, I'll go back to use pasting it in from a boilerplate. :) -- Decumanus | Talk 06:35, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
