Regarding copyright status of HK Government works
editI'm afraid that I have to say it out. Just now I have found that the websites that are listed above all say that the images obtained in those respective websites are for non-commercial use only. Moreover, one copyright notice ([8]) state that the images are only for personal and non-commercial internal use. According to WP:COPY, non-commercial-use images are unacceptable, not to mention the personal-use sentence. Since I think this discovery may cause a great tremor among Wikipedian Hongkongers, I am now bringing this issue out here for discussion. I hope that other editors may join in this discussion and decide what to do next. --:Raphaelmak: [talk] [contribs] 08:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- According to the Law of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Government reserves their copyrights for 125 years. --— HenryLi (Talk) 07:12, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- There can't be any 'Crown copyright' in Hong Kong when the Crown no longer exists! I've removed all instances of 'Hong Kong Crown copyright' from the pages.--Cahk (talk) 22:56, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
