Colours
editFor the background colours, should we use the same ones as the NHC use in their forecast graphics? That's #EEEE00 for TS Watch, #0000FF for TS Warn, #FFAEB9 for H Watch and #FF0000 for H Warn. Might be better to align this with the NHC's colour codes. – Chacor 14:52, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Addendum: I can see the potential problem we'll have with TS Warn and H Warn. – Chacor 14:56, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Storm Surge Watches/Warnings
editShould storm surge watches/warnings be included in this template? Those advisories are used when life-threatening storm surge from a hurricane is possible within 48 hours and 36 hours, and were introduced in 2016 for coastal areas. J4lambert (talk) 11:45, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Probably not as they are not international yet unlike the hurricane warnings and were only introduced for the United States for areas along the Gulf of Mexico and the East Coast.Jason Rees (talk) 12:44, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Extreme Wind Warning Color
editI would like to suggest that we color the Extreme Wind Warning box. I think we could do either Dark Orange or a Purple, similar to the Weather Channel. The problem with Dark Orange is that it would be essentially the same to the Hurricane Watch box, so I would lean to a purple color. Wxman28 (talk) 11:38, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
