Change of title
editI chance the title from "Kurdish–Turkish conflict (1978–present)" to just "Kurdish–Turkish conflict" because the former was to big and distorted the page. Il giovane bello 73 (talk) 18:20, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
1st, 2nd, 3rd Hakkari
editwhich campaignbox? Can you give details? Kavas (talk) 17:43, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
This is a campaignbox. No-one is saying there were only 2 attacks in history in Hakkari, but we only have two articles about Hakkari here, so that's 1 and 2. The same is used in all other infoboxes. Here are several examples. You notice how they all use 1st and 2nd rather than full article names? Eventhough there have clearly been more than 2 clashes in say Fallujah, or any of the otehr examples you can see in this wide variety of infoboxes. Also note how none of them uses links? If you want to add something, do it to the article. Now leave this campaign box alone unless you have something important to add (rather than messing it up).Kermanshahi (talk) 18:12, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- In Wikipedia, it seems editors don't have the sources to fully write this Campaignbox. But, other wars are written by using proper sources. Kermanshahi says "No-one is saying there were only 2 attacks in history in Hakkari, but we only have two articles about Hakkari here, so that's 1 and 2.", he doesn't know the number of attacks in Hakkari. So, 1st Hakkari attack is 99.9% not the first attack on Hakkari (didnt the conflict start at 1984?). I suggest we change it to Hakkari (2007), so the possibility of a mistake could be reduced to zero. Kavas (talk) 15:57, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- Frankly i don't mind. I didn't like the "1st", "2nd" etc. terminology in the first place.Greyshark09 (talk) 17:46, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- Distinguishing attacks in campaignboxes by year or type makes more sense & avoids the implication that there haven't been any others at those locations. Jim Michael 2 (talk) 11:52, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Revert
editKermanshani, your revert of my edit is not explained, can you elaborate why have you undid split of first and second insurgency (a very common way to segregate significant periods of conflict) and removed Bombing of Iraq (94') from the box?Greyshark09 (talk) 06:27, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Hell
editThe word "Hell" in this campaignbox links to an article without the word "Hell" in it. This should be cleared up either here or there, but I don't know enough about the conflict to do it myself. What is "Hell" in this context and why is it being used as a link? (As a side note, The Battle of Hell would be a great album title) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.112.244.120 (talk) 02:19, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- codename given to a Turkish Army operation. It should be explained in the link that appears when hell is clicked. Kavas (talk) 20:23, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Name of the Campaignbox
editThere were many moves of the template and I'd like to open up a discussion about it. The template is thought to represent the several campaigns between the Turkey and the PKK. We already have a template Kurdish Turkish Conflict 1978-present, where all the other aspects of the conflict since 1978/foundation of the PKK can be included. A Kurdish-Turkish conflict template is I guess to large and the info represented in such a template would more likely fit into hundreds of specific articles which can be included into a category.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 06:40, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- And I thought I keep the YPG related attacks in the campaign box since Turkey aimed the attacks and military campaigns at the PKK, of which they see the YPG a part of.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 06:45, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Sections insurgencies
editCould we find a better name for the sections? Operations Olive Branch, Euphrates Shield and the Claw operations have nothing to do with an insurgency. How about in Kurdish Turkish Conflict in Turkey, in Iraq and in Syria? Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:21, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
