The 2024 season is the 15th season for the Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings. They are one of the ten teams competing in the 2024 Indian Premier League. They are the defending champions, having won their 5th IPL title after defeating Gujarat Titans in the rain-affected 2023 Indian Premier League final.[1]

Ahead of the 2024 season, MS Dhoni handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad.[2]
