Untitled
editI changed "university" to "school" because my book says Ehwa was called a "hakdang" in 1919. The Ehwa Wikipedia page says it started offering college courses in 1910 but wasn't officially declared a university until much later. So I'm confused as to whether she was in high school or university. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Departmentstoreangel (talk • contribs) 15:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello, I can confirm that the university was created in 1925 and Yu Gwang-Sun was only 17 years old, so she could not have been in Ehwa College but in High School. --Lawren00 (talk) 09:46, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Ryu, Yu Gwan-Sun
editHello, I saw this page http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Ryu_%28Korean_name%29 about the Hanja of Yu Gwan-Sun's name. And someone change Yu Gwan-Sun name into Ryu Gwan-Sun. Having visited her memorial, I never saw any mention of her as "Ryu" but always as "Yu". In addition, sources in English does not refer her as Ryu but as Yu. Would it be ok to revert to Yu Gwan-Sun? --Lawren00 (talk) 00:15, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- @D0kkaebi: See the Reveal the Yu Gwansun's picture in middle school (Korean, Donga Ilbo). According to this news, the picture is her autograph with Rihwahakdang Ryu Gwansun (리화학당 류관순; Ewha Hakdang Yu Gwansun) in Korean. Thanks. --Garam (talk) 09:22, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Potential Editing Suggestions
editThere are specific points throughout the article that project a more subjective manner rather than objectively presenting facts, as the Wikipedia guidelines suggest. Examples: o “The March 1st Movement was a peaceful demonstration by the Korean people against Japanese rule.” o “Because she did not abandon her convictions after her arrest, Gwansun became a symbol of the Korean fight for independence through peaceful protest and passive resistance”
