Why did you guys delete this talk page? i mean, has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I don't think anyone went far as deleted to use even want to delete no talk page more like, but you never know.

4chan meme

and an example that might be familiar to many people is "Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?".

So, this text has been added a couple times. I'm not really against it, but it needs to be cleaned up and given some context. This is chock full of WP:Weasel words... "Might be familiar to many people"? Which people? Who? Where did it come from? Without that context, it doesn't do anything to educate the person that's never heard of it before, and leaves them just as confused as one reading the word salad itself :) At least with the Noam Chomsky quote, it's widespread enough and there's a link so people would know why it's important. Maybe something along the lines of "an Internet meme from 4chan that made the rounds in 2009"?

The other thing is it sounds like an obscure shoutout to a subculture that doesn't have much recognition outside the Internet meme subgenre. I think it would probably help the case for this phrase if it had a Wiki article that could be linked to. Is it notable enough to get its own article? If not, then it probably doesn't belong here either. My completely off the cuff instinct is it probably could get its own article, but I don't know since I don't track with the memes so much these days. Did it get any media or research coverage outside of blog/forum posts and Youtube spam?  :)

Written word salad

The mental health section discusses only speech and is silent about word salad in writing. I have seen several instances of such written gibberish - mostly here on WP! Adding some detail about such writing would improve the article, unfortunately I know almost nothing about mental illness so I'm not the right person to do it. Relationship to Mumbo Jumbo

In what ways, if any, is a Word Salad related to Mumbo Jumbo? Does "word salad" only refer to results of a mental disorder, or can it also refer to semantically indecipherable phrases uttered by people typically judged to be mentally fit? Thanks! --Lbeaumont (talk) 16:39, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Word salad vs schizophasia

The article sounds as word salad and schizophasia are equivalent conditions, however, based on a Russian version of this article, they are different.

Shizophasia carries no meaning, but it is grammatically correct.

On the contrary, word salad has neither meaning nor proper grammar.

Recent addition/See also

Hi — Bearian (talk · contribs) has recently added Mad Libs and Word (disambiguation) to the See Also section. I think the first addition is at least confusing: Mad Libs are meant to make sense (and to be funny, for that matter; the tone can be nonsensical but the content must look like it is making sense, not to mention its necessary grammaticality), unlike Word Salads. As for adding the homonymy page for Word itself, I find it of little interest; it makes almost no sense in that section, but this paradox is not enough to justify its presence there, is it?
