editIt seems that the less people know the more they delete stuff. I thought wikipedia was designed to learn stuff not to make everyone know nothing.show me one person who has added anything usefull to this page , most just delete without reason. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.51.254.97 (talk) 01:29, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
I wish people wouuld put in references to what they are puting in here . That would make things a lot more professional and up to standard. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gpski (talk • contribs) 19:33, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
In reference to the name of Wilno Canada , I belive that that was independent of the European history I'm not sure that the town of Wilno Ontario shares a history with the European town, though the name most likley came from there. There is a large section about the namiming of Wilno the European city and I belive that all references to that should go in that area which has a large wikepidia entery —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.103.223.52 (talk) 17:33, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
yum lets go for the chicken supper on the long weekend ...

Questions to be asked --
1 Who hired a goth maniac to do a serious study in a historic area ? 2 A good way to spend tax dollars ? "Vampires, Dwarves, And Witches
Clean up
editI removed the "Urban Legend" section completely, because in my opinion, quite frankly it detracted from the article because of its rambling style which appeared to be an attempt to talk around the whole "Vampires, Dwarves, And Witches Among The Ontario Kashubs" issue, without even mentioning it. I'm afraid, that like it or not, that "issue" is part of the history of the community, whether the report itself is historically accurate or not is a separate issue, which of course can be addressed in a properly referenced fashion, but it's not going to go away by simply obfuscating or ignoring it. I'll attempt to put something together to address that. Also, in an encyclopedic sense, in my opinion the annual chicken dinner doesn't need a separate section of its own. As it appears now, it seems to be simply an advertisement. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 18:50, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
I certainly belive that both sides of this urban ledgend story should be heard. Far too long a one sided treaty of this rather ridiculous accusation has been noted. Did the more real side offend anyone? after all we need to look more at reality. Many small towns list their events across the wikis as part of their loacal events. Have fun with taxpayer dollars! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.103.152.51 (talk) 18:23, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hello 66.51.254.97, I'm sorry to hear that you feel that other editors are only detracting from the article rather than improving it; but please keep in mind that Wikipedia has policies in place that require additions to the encyclopedia to be made in particular ways. One of the most important is the need to provide references when adding material; please see WP:VERIFY. Without references to at least provide historical context, the section that's been re-added regarding "Vampires, Dwarves, And Witches Among The Ontario Kashubs" makes very little sense to the average reader, who lack a knowledge of local history; which is why it was removed the first time from the article. Also, I've noticed that an editor has re-added material that was previously removed because of it's promotional nature regarding the annual Wilno Chicken Supper. Wikipedia should not be used for advertising or promotional purposes. Please see: WP:PROMOTION. If you have any questions regarding these issues, feel free to leave a message here or on my talk page. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 02:29, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
German-occupied
editWas the area really "occupied"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.32.212.188 (talk) 22:30, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Maybe you don't read history books!
Poland was partitioned by Germany, Russia and Austria at that time , please go to any public library or look in any Encylopedia to verify this .....
